Join influential political thought leaders and organizers from across the nation Tuesday July 26 7:30 PM—12 AM for an old-school  Democratic National Convention Watch Party complete with a DJ, dinner, dancing and a mini-concert.  The event is certain to be one of the most memorable and well attended side events of the convention. The event has the support of Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC), and  Assistant Democratic Leader, Congressman Jim Clyburn.

Confirmed attendance includes: Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH); Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (MO); Congresswoman Corrine Brown (FL); Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Congressman, George “G. K.” Butterfield (NC); Assistant Democratic Leader, Congressman James Clyburn (SC); Congressman David Scott (GA); woman’s rights leader, Melanie L. Campbell; civil rights attorney, Barbara Arnwine; and civil rights leader, Rev. Jesse Jackson.

We are #CelebratingtheBlackVote and lifting up champions because thePhiladanco successful fight for #VotingRights by our civil rights leaders created an opportunityfor diverse voices to participate in the political process. The inclusion of citizens of color in the voting process resulted in the election of the first African American leader of the free world, President Barack Obama.


The Diversity Partners provide networking and professional development opportunities for their members. The purpose of these events at the 2016 National Conventions is to celebrate diversity and recognize elected leaders who come from or support diverse backgrounds and constituencies. These events are planned to comply with all laws and Congressional Ethics Rules.
