GRAMMY DISS: Natalie Cole’s family and friends are livid that she was not honored

natalie cole dissed by Grammys - memorial tribute - Blacksinhollywood.( – She has certainly earned the industry’s respect but if you were watching the 2016 Grammys you wouldn’t know it.

Natalie Cole, whose father, Nat was also legendary, died on December 31, 2015 but was dissed by the Grammys and not given the farewell salute that many thought she deserved during in the Grammy’s tribute to fallen singers.

The Internet got busy with its response to the diss and the  comments came from people of all races, backgrounds, socio-economic classes and across the world.

While Cole was in fact featured in the segment that was broadcast LIVE during Black History Month on February 15, Cole’s sisters were unhappy that the beloved singer was not given a more fitting, substantial tribute.

Glenn Frey, Motorhead singer Lemmy Kilmister, B.B. King (who was dissed during the 2015 Grammys), Earth, Wind & Fire’s Maurice White and David Bowie were all remembered in separate musical segments, the “Unforgettable” singer, who won nine Grammy Awards, was not.
